Engineering Manager

You responsibilities.

  • Forms teams with various technologies as needed by projects.
  • Coordinates and delegates work to engineers.
  • Propose budgets and technical concepts for various projects.
  • Produces quality metrics for the software developed by his teams.
  • Leads delivery of major initiatives.
  • Continues to contribute bug fixes and small features without becoming a bottleneck.
  • Leads recruiting efforts and determine headcount for their team.
  • Adds new knowledge to the teams under his supervision as needed by the project or by industry trends.
  • Mentors team members by providing or facilitating regular 1:1 sessions, identifies issues within his team, facilitates trainings and workshops .
  • Sets clear expectations for team members; solicits, synthesizes and delivers feedback
  • Communicates timeline, scope and technical concerns to pillar partners.
  • Supervises and leads engineers across DevOps, QA, and development teams to drive release management process
  • Works in removing project-based roadblocks.

Our requirements.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related field is a plus.
  • Great analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Very good problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Structured decision making.
  • At least 10 years of experience in software engineering out of which a minimum of 2 years in a technical leadership role.
  • Experienced as a senior software engineer-level is required.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in mentoring engineers and work to optimize team productivity.
  • Strong proficiency in all aspects of software life cycle and balance of quality vs. release efficiency
  • Strong awareness of end-user/customer expectations.
