What we are we looking for

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Engagement:
    • Design and implement technology standards and practices, focusing on skill screening, development, and adherence across the company.

    • Develop training strategies aligned with our competency matrix and assist in crafting individual development plans with HR and Delivery Managers.

    • Participate in the hiring process and engage in evaluation discussions as necessary.

    • Organize and conduct regular technical workshops for continuous skill enhancement of our technical teams.

  • Technology Strategy:
    • Stay ahead of emerging trends and best practices within the technology sphere.

    • Lead as a hands-on System/Solution Architect during pre-sales and project planning phases, focusing on robust, scalable architectures.

    • Ensure the technical quality of projects and oversee the development and maintenance of our TechRadar.

    • Develop and monitor key performance metrics to measure technology effectiveness.

  • Community Leadership and Visibility:
    • Actively lead and expand Yopeso's tech communities, making them attractive for talent and clients.

    • Organize and participate in technology conferences, workshops, and meetups to elevate our presence in the tech community.

    • Spearhead Yopeso's involvement in open-source projects, enhancing our reputation as a contributor to the technology ecosystem.

    • Represent Yopeso at various tech events, promoting our technological achievements and innovations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a technology leadership role, with a track record of developing scalable and high-quality technical solutions.

  • Hands-on experience with architectural design, especially in cloud environments such as AWS and Google Cloud.

  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and familiarity with modern software development practices across different programming environments.

  • Strong understanding of database management and data storage solutions.

  • Experience in technical pre-sales or a similar client-facing role is highly desirable.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of leading a diverse team and working collaboratively with various business units.

  • Ability to design and propose team configurations tailored to project-specific requirements.

  • Experience with development and operational aspects of technology systems in a production environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to organize events and workshops that promote learning and collaboration in the tech community.

  • Experience across various tech stacks is an advantage, including MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js), LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), .NET (C#, ASP.NET), serverless architectures such as AWS Lambda, and Java (including frameworks like Spring and Hibernate).
